GNC Coordination guidance in the context of COVID-19

Following an outbreak of COVID-19 GNC Coordination Team has developed and translated an operational guidance for the country coordination team on COVID-19, as well as additional tools to facilitate the work.

The Nutrition Coordination guidance in the context of COVID (version 3) is built around the cluster core functions and provides recommendations on what adaptations should be made for each of them in the context of COVID-19. It is relevant for any coordination mechanism for nutrition in emergencies. It will be constantly updated as new information becomes available and based on the implementation at the country level. It is available in English, French and Arabic

We have also developed several related tools to facilitate country-level work, such as

• A generic ToR for the country-level Nutrition and COVID-19 Taskforce in English, French and Arabic
• A generic template for the Joint Statement on COVID-19 and infant and young child feeding in English and Arabic (developed by the IFE Core Group).

We would like to thank IFE Core group for the development of the Joint Statement in English and Tareiq Mekkawi and the Whole of Syria Nutrition Cluster team for the translation of all documents to Arabic.

A number of technical Nutrition in Emergencies guidance was also developed by the Global Technical Assistance Mechanism.
