Webinar - Introducing Global Training Toolkit on Simplified Approaches for the Detection and Treatment of Child Wasting

We are happy to inform you that the GNC Technical Alliance together with Global Working Group on Simplified Approaches, will be hosting a Webinar: “Introducing Global Training Toolkit on Simplified Approaches for the Detection and Treatment of Child Wasting; Chapter 1: Family MUAC”

When: Tuesday, 28 February 2023, 14:00-15:00 (GMT+1/CET) / 8:00-9:00 (GMT-5/EST)

In this webinar series, you will be able to hear about each chapter of the new Global Training Toolkit on Simplified Approaches for the Detection and Treatment of Child Wasting. By the end, participants will be able to successfully identify the core components of the training toolkit and have a greater understanding on how to utilize it to train for the implementation of these approaches, where to get additional support on training and implementation (e.g. simplifiedapproahces.org tools and resources tab) and how to provide feedback on the resource.

The first webinar will be on Chapter 1: Family MUAC

 Future webinars will focus on:

• Chapter 2: CHW-led Treatment of Wasting

• Chapter 3: Reduced Frequency of Follow-up Visits

• Chapter 4: Simplified Treatment Protocol

 This webinar series aims to strengthen the capacity of national implementers and it is directed to field level practitioners and Training of Trainers (ToTs) who have a working knowledge or basic understanding of the simplified approaches.

 All webinars will be in English with simultaneous translation into French, Spanish, Arabic and possibly in one or two local languages (depending on the interest, so register and express your interest quickly!)
