COVID-19, Children, and Nutrition: Data Efforts and Priorities 

Friday, 25th and Monday, 28th June 2021

Day 1, 25 June (Friday) 08:00 – 11:00 AM EDT: Day one will focus on the direct associations between COVID-19 infection in children and nutrition status. It will include a panel discussion on the current state of knowledge on this topic and presentations on data collection efforts currently exploring the relationship between COVID-19 infection in children and malnutrition.

Day 2, 28 June (Monday) 08:00 – 11:00 AM EDT: Day two will focus on the indirect pathways by which the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted childhood malnutrition. It will include an introduction to a proposed analytical framework exploring this relationship and examples of the indirect impact the pandemic has had on childhood malnutrition in several countries.
