Categories: News / 2 CommentsPosted on: October 31, 2014

Regional training is planned for Cluster Coordinators in Nairobi at the end of February 2015. GNC-CT will soon contact countries to identify NCCs that were not trained. NCCs are welcomed to nominate government and other coordination team members to participate in the training.

    To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to join the NCC regional training in Nairobi next month and am wondering if you will be accepting applications from non cluster coordinators. I am the Global Humanitarian IYCF-E (Nutrition) Adviser for Save the Children UK. In my position I have the expectation to build capacity of country offices to respond to Infant Feeding in Emergencies and coordination is a fundamental part of this. I have been conducting IYCF-E regional trainings that include coordination components and exercises, but I’d like to increase our focus on coordination at the cluster level. As a facilitator, I would also like to improve my skills and knowledge on the cluster approach so that I can properly lay out key elements of good coordination as a large part of our IYCF-E trainings and curriculum content. I also live in Nairobi so I would like to take this opportunity to attend this training where I have relevant contacts within the region. Would attending this training be feasible? If so, please let me know what is needed and I will action whatever is required.

    Many thanks and regards,
    Christine
